Respectful Workplace for Employees

 

This session provides practical information to all employees regarding roles and responsibilities in maintaining a harassment, bullying and discrimination-free workplace. Maximum 25 participants/session.

The following is an overview of this training:

  • To ensure that all participants have a comprehensive understanding of what is and what is not harassment, discrimination and bullying. This includes an overview of the types of behaviour that are prohibited by the organizational policies and the law;
  • To identify individual rights, options and procedures pursuant to organizational policies and the law; and
  • To understand appropriate approaches to complaints: informal and formal resolution options.

Course Content includes:

  • What factors contribute to conflict in the workplace?
  • What is and is not harassment, discrimination and bullying?
  • What organizational policies protect employees? What laws protect employees?
  • What is the organization’s role and responsibility as an employer?
  • What are the employee’s responsibilities?
  • What do you do if you are being harassed or bullied?
  • What do you do if you see someone else being harassed or bullied?
  • What can be done to resolve these issues?
  • What will happen if I make a complaint?
